Bowman School Administrators Selected to Present at 2018 International Montessori Conference
Bowman School, an internationally recognized, Montessori-accredited school located in Palo Alto for more than 20 years, announced today that two administrators have been selected to present at the 2018 International Montessori Conference, held in Sarasota Bay, Florida November 8-11, 2018.

Mary Beth Ricks, Head of School at Bowman, and Pam Shanks, Associate Head of School at Bowman, will lead workshops related to the conference theme "Living the Montessori Way: United in Purpose, Uniquely Expressed."
Saturday, November 10, from 10:00 -11:30 a.m.
Pam Shanks will present "Living the Montessori Way through the Lessons of Grace and Courtesy". Topics covered will include: 1) Grace and courtesy as an on-going means to prevent problems in classrooms; 2) How the prevalence of technology in our lives should affect your use of the lessons of grace and courtesy; and 3) How to help children attain mastery through a supportive social context.
Saturday, November 10, from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
Mary Beth Ricks will present "The ABC of Boards". This workshop is designed for school administrators and topics covered will include: 1) How to select the best BOT (Board of Trustees) members for your school; 2) BOT interviews; 3) BOT education; and 4) BOT review process.
