Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale Welcomes New CEO
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) October 21, 2015 -- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale (BGCS) has found its next CEO. Current Boys & Girls Club of Tennessee Valley CEO Lisa Hurst will take on the same role here in the Valley beginning January 2016.
Hurst, who’s served the Boys & Girls Club for over 30 years, will remain in Knoxville, Tennessee through the end of the year while they conclude their search for their newest CEO, assisting them in their transition and search for her successor.

"Her credentials and vast experience in Boys & Girls Clubs make for a wealth of expertise, but her passion and unwavering commitment to kids is what is truly inspiring."
Thompson added, "We were looking for someone who could uniquely appreciate the rich, 60-year tradition we have of impacting kids and families in our communities. We have no doubt that Lisa will lead us into our next season of serving the kids who need us most."
In her years with the Club, Hurst hast lead several fundraising efforts including the “Our Kids, Our Future” campaign, which helped raise $15.5 million in funds for a 54,000 square-foot multipurpose facility and technology upgrades at all of the Tennessee Valley branches. Her efforts also resulted in an increased number of Club youth served annually to 7,500.
Hurst was also responsible for spearheading numerous projects that have helped secure an even brighter future for the Boys & Girls Club of the Tennessee Valley. Her diversification of the organization’s portfolio of funding opportunities resulted in the increased annual operating budget from $1.2 million in 1991 to a $9.2 million in 2015 and a leap in youth served annually from 1,100 to 7,200.
