Brach Eichler Launches New Government Affairs Subsidiary
Trenton, NJ (PRWEB) October 25, 2013 -- Brach Eichler has announced the launch of a new government affairs subsidiary, Brach Eichler Government Affairs, LLC. Based in Trenton, NJ, the full-service government affairs and lobbying firm will focus on government issues in New Jersey. Former State Street Partners Founder Rocco F. Iossa will join the firm as managing member. Alan J. Steinberg of State Street Partners also joins the firm as partner. State Street Partners has ceased operations.
Brach Eichler Government Affairs will serve clients across a broad base of business and industry; however, the firm has particular expertise in the healthcare, environmental, transportation, real estate and pharmaceutical industries.
John D. Fanburg, managing member of Brach Eichler, said, “Every day in our law practice, we see where the law and politics intersect, and how regulations are increasingly shaping the business climate in New Jersey. We launched Brach Eichler Government Affairs as a natural extension of our law practice.
“We are especially excited to partner with Rocco, who has established meaningful relationships and cultivated a mutual trust with our state’s policy decision makers and elected officials, to provide a higher level of service to our clients,” Fanburg noted.
With more than 25 years’ experience in government affairs and law, Iossa brings valuable expertise and relationships to Brach Eichler Government Affairs. He began his career as a legislative aide to the late Congressman Dennis Gallo in Washington, D.C. In 1991, he joined Brach, Eichler, Rosenberg, Silver, Bernstein, Hammer & Gladstone, P.C., where he focused his practice on healthcare, commercial and corporate law. In 1994, Iossa returned to government service, serving as senior assistant counsel in the Office of the Governor for the State of New Jersey where he represented Governor Christine Todd Whitman on all legislative matters pending before the New Jersey Senate. In 1995, he was named appointments counsel to the Governor, where he directed all gubernatorial appointments in the State of New Jersey. A resident of Convent Station, NJ, Iossa received his B.A. from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey.
“The launch of Brach Eichler Government Affairs allows us to align the resources and contacts of one of the state’s most well-regarded law firms with our deep understanding of New Jersey’s political environment, to provide sound counsel and dedicated strategies to help clients better navigate our complex regulatory and legislative environment,” said Iossa.
