Bramvik Zirts, an Interchangeable, Customizable Skirt for Endless Looks, Launches on Kickstarter

Zirt, which stands for 'zipper skirt,' is a mini-skirt with extensions called 'tiers.' As shown on this video, every Zirt comes in a variety of interchangeable colors and patterns. The tiers, which are detachable using a high-quality zipper, can be reassembled in a variety of ways.

"With Zirts, you can change the colors, patterns and length of the skirt in a jiffy," said Zirts Co-founder Prasad Baks. "This allows you to wear thousands of skirt combinations with only a few Zirts. It's the only skirt that grows with you."

The tiers are compatible within the same sizes, and different sizes, as well.

"If a person purchases five base Zirts skirts and three tiers, they can come up with more than 5,000 Zirt combinations," Baks said.

Baks notes that Zirts are especially ideal for young girls, providing them multiple styles and the ability to tap into their creative side when choosing something to wear.

Baks, along with his wife Rama, were inspired by their five-year old daughter to create the customizable skirts.

"She loves skirts and would always want to wear different variations of them, so I wanted to create something customizable, colorful and fun for her," he said. "I came up with some sketches and my mother-in-law created our first sample on our home sewing machine, that's how Zirts were born."

As part of the initial launch, Zirts are available in eight solid colors, and can be worn with colorful, interchangeable 'tiers' that can be used to create a custom design with any color skirt. Additional solid colors and patterns (prints) will be available later based on the demand.

Baks adds that Zirts are Ideal for parents of twin or multiple children, offering each the ability to create their own cute matching look, while giving them the ability to choose the colors and prints they love and customize it according to their personality. Also, it's not easy to find cloths for taller girls, Zirts will enable the wearer to increase the length of the skirt as needed by simply attaching the additional tiers.

"You can even trade tiers with your friends and family to always keep your look fresh," Baks said. "Why would you settle for wearing the same two or three skirts repeatedly when you can have near endless variations of your favorite style if you invest in a few Zirts? Zirts never get boring!"
