Brandon Wu Joins Maverick McNealy in Birdies for Education Fundraising Campaign
Curriki, the CODiE award-winning education technology platform, today announced that professional golfer Brandon Wu has joined Maverick McNealy's Birdies for Education (B4Ed) fundraising campaign. Birdies for Education, which has raised $485,000 to date, was created in 2019 by PGA Tour player Maverick McNealy to raise funds for edtech non-profit, Curriki.org.
CUPERTINO, Calif., Feb. 3, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Curriki, the CODiE award-winning education technology platform, today announced that professional golfer Brandon Wu has joined Maverick McNealy's Birdies for Education (B4Ed) fundraising campaign. Birdies for Education, which has raised $485,000 to date, was created in 2019 by PGA Tour player Maverick McNealy to raise funds for edtech non-profit, Curriki.org. Through Birdies for Education, golf enthusiasts and education advocates pledge to donate for each birdie McNealy, and now Wu, make throughout the season.

Both Maverick and Brandon started the 2020 calendar in impressive fashion. Maverick just had a career-high PGA Tour finish at the Farmers Insurance Open, finishing -8, placing 15th. This performance followed a nice start to the season at The American Express, where he finished in 37th at -13. McNealy currently sits at #71 on the FedEx Cup Leaderboard.
Wu also had a very strong performance at Farmers, where he held the Tournament lead on Friday, at -7. Brandon finished - 1 and placed 55th.
About Brandon Wu
Brandon had an illustrious amateur career, highlighted in 2019 by winning the National Championship with Stanford and the Walker Cup with the US team. He was also the first amateur to compete in both the US Open and The Open since 1967.
