B4BC Annual Fundraiser and Prevention Education Awareness Campaign, 2022
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 20, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, provides breast cancer prevention education and survivor support programs. B4BC is hosting its 15th Annual Skate the Coast, presented by Suja Organic, a 19-mile skate-bike-roll fundraising event on October 16, 2022. In addition, a Breast Cancer Awareness Month registration party for Skate the Coast is on October 15, 2022.
Skate the Coast's fun-filled weekend kicks off on Saturday evening, October 15, with a registration party at Firestone Walker Brewing Company. Then, on October 16, Skate the Coast event day starts at Santa Monica Pier and concludes at Dive N' Surf in Redondo Beach. The two-day festivities benefit the B4BC mission. Proceeds directly support B4BC education, preventative, and survivorship programs.
Unfortunately, one out of eight women will get breast cancer. Early detection and a healthy, active lifestyle are the best means of breast cancer prevention. "We have held Skate the Coast for the last 15 years to amplify the message that just 30 minutes of exercise three to four days per week can reduce your cancer risk by thirty to fifty percent. Skate, Bike, or Roll B4BC welcomes anyone on wheels of all ages and abilities to join," said Lisa Hudson, president, and co-founder of B4BC.
SKATE THE COAST WEEKEND: Fundraising Goal: $75K
October 15 || Registration Party: 3 PM-8 PM || Firestone Walker Brewing Company || Venice, CA
- At the registration party, registrants receive event tees and goodie bags, sign waivers, and stay for live music, good food, free-flowing Suja Juices, a silent auction, and raffles!
October 16 || Skate the Coast Event: In the morning, catch a shuttle at Redondo Beach's Veteran's Park to Santa Monica. Then roll with our sea of pink along the iconic strand from Santa Monica to Venice, Marina Del Rey, Dockweiler State Beach, Hermosa Beach, and finish off at Dive N' Surf in Redondo Beach. At Dive N' Surf, there will be a celebration with awards, live music, food, drinks, a raffle, and a silent auction from 12 PM to 4 PM.
- To register, all participants must fundraise a minimum of $50.
- Prizes will be awarded to the top three fundraisers (individual and teams).
- Earn an extra ten raffle tickets for every $100 fundraised.|| Receive Yeti Drinkware for raising over $150.
Virtual Skate the Coast is open worldwide for all abilities. Join and post a photo to social media while cruising a local path, trail, or neighborhood.
- Participants are mailed shirts. For every $10 fundraised, virtual raffle tickets are awarded.
- To be featured on B4BC's social channels, use the tags @b4bc #skatethecoast. In addition, on Monday, October 17, a photo contest winner is selected.

Chasing Sunshine Wellness Retreat October 18-21
Ten Breast cancer survivors have been invited to a retreat filled with supportive intimate beach days from October 18-21 in Oceanside, CA. There is a focus on healing, wellness, and community-building. The retreat offers recharging wellness activities, fresh air, and healthy meals.
