Breezes Resort was recognized for housing patients during the pandemic who were either under quarantine orders or suspected of exposure to the virus causing COVID-19. Breezes was honored with multiple awards and certificates of appreciation for their outstanding efforts, exemplary service, hard work and commitment to excellence in the fight against the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Breezes' management team and the various departments within the hotel (kitchen, housekeeping, engineering, front office, laundry and sanitation) were also singled out for their contributions and were recognized for being committed to assisting the Government, and the people of The Bahamas. Breezes housed patients who were either being quarantined or suspected to have COVID-19 during the pandemic. In addition to being a quarantine facility Breezes converted the East Wing of the hotel to a hospital for non-Covid patients.
