BrickHouse Security Acquires Securus GPS Tracking Business
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 10, 2015 -- BrickHouse Security, a leading supplier of GPS tracking and security solutions to business, government and consumers, announced that it has acquired substantially all the assets of Securus, Inc.’s GPS tracking business, including the eZoom and Zoombak customer base and related brands.
The acquisition includes all Securus GPS tracking accounts. Beginning March 16, Securus subscribers will be seamlessly transitioned to BrickHouse Security’s cloud-based GPS platform. BrickHouse will honor all Securus subscribers’ current pricing, billing schedule and payment terms.
Customers who recently purchased a Securus eZoom GPS tracker and have not yet activated it will be able to activate their device with BrickHouse Security directly.
BrickHouse Security plans to support a select number of Securus and Zoombak’s retail distribution channels, such as Amazon, Costco, Car Toys and Pep Boys. Select retailers will also have the opportunity to offer BrickHouse’s wide selection of safety and security products to their customers.
Securus business and government clients will gain access to BrickHouse Security’s more advanced enterprise tracking platform, which is optimized to manage, monitor and report on larger deployments of GPS trackers. This is the same platform currently used by over 2,500 police departments and thousands of businesses.
“This agreement is an example of industry consolidation that we expect to continue as smaller players seek a partner at scale,” said BrickHouse Security CEO Todd Morris. “Securus and Zoombak built a robust customer base and a loyal following of GPS subscribers. With this single acquisition we are rolling up the efforts of the three most successful personal and asset tracking businesses under one brand on a single, unified platform.”
Optimized for professional fleet tracking, asset tracking and law enforcement applications, the BrickHouse Security enterprise GPS platform provides a powerful, yet easy-to-use portal to “The Internet of Things,” giving organizations of any size the ability to dramatically increase productivity, save money and ramp up their customer service offerings.
“BrickHouse Security has a 10-year track record as one of the most reputable GPS providers in our industry,” added Securus CEO Tom Collopy. “We know our customers are in good hands and will continue to receive the high level of service they’ve come to expect.”
