Broadway Revival of Oklahoma! Receives 8 Tony® Award Nominations

The revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! earned 8 nominations: Best Revival of a Musical, Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role – Damon Daunno, Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical – Ali Stoker and Mary Testa, Best Scenic Design of a Musical – Laura Jellinek, Best Sound Design of a Musical – Drew Levy, Best Direction of a Musical – Daniel Fish, Best Orchestrations – Daniel Kluger.
Tony, Olivier, Drama Desk & Outer Critics Circle Award-winning Square 1 Theatrics is Associate Producer. Oklahoma! opened at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre on April 7, 2019.
Jay Krottinger and Ryan Jude Tanner, co-founders of Square 1, are excited to join Tony-award winning lead producer, Eva Price (Dear Evan Hansen and Angels in America) in this new endeavor. "The Tony Awards honor creative theatrical professionals at the height of their career and this year's honors could not be more special for this beautifully reimagined production of Oklahoma!" The entire Oklahoma! pre-Broadway run, summarized by TIME Magazine as "the #1 theatrical event of the year," enjoyed a sell-out run at Saint Anne's Warehouse in Brooklyn. The reimagined revival, directed by Daniel Fish, featuring new music arrangements by Daniel Kluger, and choreography by John Heginbotham, is currently in its fourth week on Broadway.
Square 1 Theatrics, a Tanninger Company, is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma's Kendall-Whittier neighborhood. Square 1 is an international production company founded in 2012. Tanner and Krottinger won the 2013 Tony Award for the revival of Stephen Schwartz's PIPPIN. Currently, Square 1 has two global productions running on Broadway, the Tony-award winning Come From Away (2017) and Tony-nominated Waitress(2016).
Both New York productions are also on North American and international tours. Come From Away opened in London's iconic West End on February 18 and won the Oliver Award on April 7, 2019.
Krottinger currently serves on the Board of Directors for Theatre Tulsa, as well as interim Artistic Director. Tanner serves as a Board Director at Tulsa Cares and the John Hope Franklin Center for Reconciliation. Tanner is also a Trustee of the Philbrook Museum of Art. Krottinger and Tanner are co-founders of parent company, Tanninger Companies.
