Broward County Students Gear Up for a New School Year Thanks to School Supply Donations from People's Trust Insurance Company

Deerfield Beach, Florida (PRWEB) August 13, 2016 -- As Broward County schools return for another school year, People’s Trust Insurance is working to make sure area students have the supplies they need for a successful year ahead. The company has collected notebooks, pencils, backpacks, crayons, and more for the 2016 Tools for Schools drive, which is a Broward Education Foundation initiative to provide school supplies to students in need throughout the Broward community.

“School supply costs are at an all-time high, and we understand what kind of pressure that can place on parents,” said Amy Rosen, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer. “It’s a privilege to work with the Broward Education Foundation Tools for Schools to invest in the future of this community and ensure that Broward County children have access to the resources they need as they head back to school.”

For the second year in a row, People’s Trust employees have generously donated hundreds of dollars’ worth of supplies toward the collection. People’s Trust is also donating an additional $600 in supplies.

In past years, Broward County teachers have had to reach into their own wallets to purchase much-needed school supplies, but Tools for Schools and its partners are working to change that. The foundation provides free supplies to approximately 300,000 students and 15,000 teachers in Broward County.
