New Look, New Location: Brown Bag, Inc. Continues to Expand

Last week, their newest location at 1147 20th Street, NW, in the DuPont Circle area, opened its doors. This will be the company's 6th location. Traditionally a breakfast and lunch hangout, Brown Bag 20th St will also be offering dinner. Opening for dinner Monday through Saturday will not only expand dine-in opportunities, but catering opportunities as well. Brown Bag is well-known in the DC Metro corporate community for providing natural, freshly prepared services that can be delivered to clients on a short notice. The fact that there are many locations throughout the city is why Brown Bag has become Washington’s premier choice for Corporate Catering Offering “just made” catering, clients now have choices for a large and varied menu (both hot and cold), as well as for healthy menu options.

St. NW has teamed up with Fat Worm to collect and compost trash. The new prototype stores will have all EnergyStar equipment and LED lighting. The stores were designed to use less electricity to operate. In addition, stores purchase wind power for their electric needs. Brown Bag's new DuPont Circle location will be followed shortly by a new franchise location. Robert Cunius, Brown Bag's newest franchisee, will open his location in another DC hotspot, L'Enfant Plaza. Opening in approximately six weeks, the L’Enfant Plaza store will be sporting the same new look as the 20th St location. Brown Bag 20th St will be the first location to debut a brand new look: a prototype for a future that's looking increasingly bright. "We wanted to update our look, to bring a new energy into it, so we decided that with this new location, we'd overhaul everything and create a new prototype. Going forward, this is the design that all of our new stores, both company-owned and franchise locations, will have, and we're really excited with the results," said Erich Fuldner, President and Founder of Brown Bag, Inc. Mr. Fuldner and his wife, Trish, worked closely with Core Architects to bring their vision for a new Brown Bag restaurant to life, and they're excited to open their doors to more of DC.
