NEW YORK, Nov. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cooling fabric innovator brrr° was chosen for the New York Venture Showcase, an invitation-only series of meetings with active investors organized by the state of Georgia's ATDC technology incubator.
brrr° was one of only 14 companies selected to participate in the two-day event that puts startups in front of dozens of venture capitalists and institutional investors at a private event hosted by Silicon Valley Bank at their Manhattan office on Park Avenue. Other sponsors include the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Aprio, Morris Manning & Martin and DLA Piper.
"The ATDC New York Venture Showcase is an outstanding way to create a path to funding and growth for Georgia startups. To be among such an elite group of entrepreneurs is inspiring," said Mary-Cathryn Kolb, Founder & CEO of brrr°.
This is the third investor conference to feature brrr° this fall as the Atlanta-based company seeks to raise $3 million to $5 million in equity capital. In recent weeks, brrr° was chosen to be the first presenter at the Venture Atlanta 2018 conference and it was one of eight companies selected for the RAISE Forum hosted by the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) was founded in 1980 by the Georgia General Assembly to commercialize emerging technologies in the Peach State.
Housed at the Georgia Institute of Technology, ATDC leaders help young companies strengthen their market readiness and curate meetings with investors. Portfolio companies in the incubator program have raised more than $3 billion in funding, and generate more than $12 billion in revenue in the state.
