Bryan University Launches New Bachelor of Science Degree for Exercise and Nutrition
Bryan University is launching a 100% online Bachelor of Science degree program in Exercise Science, Nutrition, and Health Promotion.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Oct. 2, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Responding to national interest, Bryan University is launching a Bachelor of Science degree program in Exercise Science, Nutrition, and Health Promotion. The program, which will be offered completely online, is the latest addition to Bryan University's school of Health and Wellness that currently features a diploma in personal training and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Exercise Specialist.
"Having worked with students and employers across the country in the fitness industry, we have identified a need for additional training in the areas of nutrition, exercise physiology, and health promotion," said Michael Sowers, Executive Director for Bryan University's online division. "It has been a delight to work with ACE (American Council on Exercise) to prepare our students for national certification as personal trainers. This new program affords the opportunity to add to that mix advanced ACE certifications focused on nutrition and medical exercise." Health Educator is one of the target careers around which the curriculum was designed. The Department of Labor's O*NET Resource Center lists is as a "Bright Outlook" occupation.
As with all programs at Bryan University, The Bachelor of Science for Exercise and Nutrition is guided by an employer advisory committee and experientially qualified-faculty that conducted exhaustive research, and coordinated with publishers and faculty in designing the program. The first cohort of students will begin classes October 14th and the school is actively enrolling for that start date.
