Buckingham Center for Facial Plastic Surgery Gains New Fellow
Austin, TX (PRWEB) June 15, 2016 -- Michael Bertram Hall, MD will be joining Buckingham Center for Facial Plastic Surgery for the upcoming year's fellowship program. This is the second year that founder of Buckingham Center for Facial Plastic Surgery Dr. Edward Buckingham has been one of many directors for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS).
Dr. Michael Hall will be under the supervision of Dr. Buckingham for the duration of this twelve-month program. The program is designed to not only boost confidence and morale in the fellowship student but also allow them to learn new skills and techniques from some of the world's leading facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons.
The program is extremely competitive and only the most highly qualified applicants make it into the program.
Dr. Hall has proven himself to be more than qualified for this fellowship. He is currently finishing his residency in Otolaryngology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital located in Philadelphia, PA. He is a member of four different professional organizations including the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. In 2015 Dr. Hall received the AAOA Merck Clinical Scholar Award. He has been published in medical journals seven times now and has been part of six presentations. Dr. Hall is currently researching three different topics ranging from the effects alcohol has on surgical delay to how oral hygiene and dentition effect oral cavity free flap reconstruction outcomes. This is just one of the many examples of how well rounded Dr. Hall is. Dr. Hall not only cares about expanding his career but is also focused on reaching out and helping his community. He is still actively volunteering in two different organizations one of which helps a middle school and adult education center.
Dr. Buckingham currently holds two board certifications. The first is by The American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the second is by The American Board of Otolaryngology. He completed his Pre-Medical coursework with a perfect GPA and graduated in the top 2% of his class in medical school with highest honors. He has won several awards and scholarships. He has held leadership positions on both the UTMB House Officer Association and Graduate Medical Education Advisory Committee and Executive Committee.
