Specifically, the data science team plans to further evolve its project management platform to be more tailored to meet the specific needs of its users, ultimately providing a more pleasant customer experience. For example, the team is working on a project to serve the right content to the right users at the right time based on Buildertrend’s data-driven understanding of user roles and behaviors within the platform with a goal of increasing engagement through more tailored service.
Alternatively, it envisions creating a data platform that applies machine learning, proprietary algorithms and lessons learned from thousands of other completed jobs to advise customers in optimal construction flow. In theory, delivering this optimal flow would help Buildertrend customers reduce inefficiencies and delays in real-time, enabling them to deliver projects on time and under budget.
From a retention perspective, gaining a better understanding of how customers are using the platform – or not – can also steer internal recommendations. Leveraging insights from the data science team, Buildertrend’s platform will soon be able to generate a unique score to automatically flag when engagement is dipping and suggest when additional training or support is needed.
