Burbidge Investment Group Acquires Land for Development by Deer Valley Resort
PARK CITY, Utah (PRWEB) November 09, 2018 -- Landscope, an affiliate of Burbidge Investment Group, Inc., is the developer of the Shores at Stillwater and Village at The Shores, two highly successful developments in the Mayflower area of the Jordanelle. In partnership with Sundance Bay Capital, Landscope has just announced the acquisition of 66 acres in the immediate Mayflower area.
This follows the November 2017 announcement by Extell Development Company of their acquisition of land neighboring the Deer Valley® Resort. In total, that acquisition is in excess of 2,300 acres. In 2018, Deer Valley was named the best resort in North America by Ski Magazine.
In addition to other property Extell owns in the area “... the Mayflower land is anticipated to provide an unparalleled platform for a new resort village and ski improvements.” This expansion will add as many as five new lifts to Deer Valley® in addition to extensive skiable terrain.
Extell’s new base village, with restaurants, shops, galleries, and planned hotels, will be a welcome addition to the Deer Valley® experience and bed base. This expansion will also alleviate a good deal of the entering and exiting automobile traffic which currently runs through Park City in the winter. With no stop lights between the Salt Lake International Airport and the Mayflower exit, owners and guests will be able to catch a morning flight out of almost any airport in America and be on the slopes by early afternoon.
Landscope’s property, located directly east and across U.S. Route 40 from the Extell development, will be a more affordable alternative to the Four and Five Star experience Extell intends to create. With both condominiums (starting at $525,000) and attachedtownhomes (starting at $700,000), quality is nonetheless of the highest level, coming standard with Viking® appliances, solid granite countertops, wood flooring, and other high-end finishes.
The total development will ultimately include 180 condominiums (12, 3-bedroom condos per building in three stories over secure parking), and 200 attached townhomes (all with main floor master bedrooms and attached 2-car garages). The first release will consist of 24 condominiums and 34 townhomes.
