Business Brokerage Press provides products, services and resources aimed to support and equip the business brokerage industry. Their semi-annual survey questioned over 375 business brokers from across the nation.
According to respondents, BizBuySell.com is by far the most commonly used business-for-sale marketplace with 84 percent saying they list available businesses on the site. BizQuest.com was second with 67 percent of brokers using the site to list businesses. All other national listing exchanges were used by 50 percent or less of business brokers.
In addition to being the most commonly used, BizBuySell.com also generated the highest percentage of buyer responses. Brokers reported that BizBuySell.com accounted for 40 percent of the total buyer responses they receive from listing sites, up from 33 percent in 2011. BizQuest.com was the next leading site with 15% of buyer responses, while all others accounted for 8 percent or less.

When asked to rate each business listing site based on ease of use and overall service provided, 86 percent of users listed BizBuySell.com as either “good” or “excellent.” Seventy-eight percent answered the same regarding BizQuest.com in 2013.
