According to the same study “adults living in (39.9%) or near poverty (32.9%) were more likely than higher income adults to be living in households with only wireless telephones.”
According to a recent news break by MarketWatch, even the big phone companies are beginning to see the writing on the wall. In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy last year, Verizon decided not to rebuild much of the destroyed landline infrastructure. “This is a peak into the future,” Landline Assassin CEO Zach Obront said.
