Cade Black's new perfume bottle launch marks a two-year design collaboration between the Kansas City-based fragrance house and French designer, Pierre Dinand
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cade Black, the irreverent botanical fragrance house founded by Emily Voth, is unveiling a new fragrance bottle designed by legendary French fragrance bottle designer Pierre Dinand, with the updated design featured across all six of the brand's perfume scents. The result of a two-year collaboration, the new bottle brings Dinand's internationally recognized design experience to the Kansas City-based brand, which Voth founded following her sale of Indigo Wild/Zum Bar.
The collaboration originated in Paris where Cade Black received the Best New Luxury Brand award from the International Perfume Foundation. The recognition led to an invitation for Voth to visit Dinand at his studio, where a conversation about the brand prompted the designer to begin sketching a bottle.
Creezy Courtoy, Founder & Chair of the International Perfume Foundation, said, "When I founded the International Perfume Foundation, my vision was to give natural perfumers the recognition and place they deserve in the world of luxury. Bringing together Emily Voth, an IPF Certified Natural Perfumer, and Pierre Dinand, one of the most legendary designers in the history of perfumery, is a beautiful expression of that vision. It demonstrates that the future of luxury fragrance can be rooted in nature, creativity, authenticity, and craftsmanship,"
The resulting bottle reflects a meticulous design process, including months of work to refine its wooden cap alone. Faceted glass cuts the bottle into angular planes that catch and scatter light, a nod to the triangle, which represents nature's strongest shape. Dinand has designed more than 1,000 fragrance bottles throughout his career, including Yves Saint Laurent Opium, Calvin Klein Obsession and Eternity, Giorgio Armani's Crystal Edition, and Givenchy Amarige. Trained as an architect, he has worked with numerous international fashion and fragrance houses spanning a decades long career.
For Cade Black, the collaboration brings established fragrance bottle design expertise to a brand focused on botanical ingredients and small-batch production. Its fragrances are formulated with materials such as absolutes, essential oils, resins, and CO2 extracts, without synthetic fragrance, phthalates, or petroleum byproducts.
"Working with Pierre Dinand still feels wild to say out loud. His bottles carry decades of unapologetic, sensual, and iconic confidence, and now ours carry that too. It's proof that natural perfumery doesn't have to be the quiet, humble corner of the industry. Its presence is naturally commanding and can be the most luxurious thing in the room. I believe that's where this whole category is headed: opulence built from the plant up, not from what's rarest or most synthetic, but from what's realest," said Voth.
Voth's work with plant botanical fragrance reflects a longstanding obsession in plants, sensory experiences, and creative collaboration. The brand's small-batch approach allows her to remain closely involved in product development and fragrance creation.
"Cade Black is what happens when I surround myself with the things I love most: plants, pleasure, and fun people. So I created something small enough to protect that for a clientele that truly appreciates finely crafted products from nature. Staying small and exclusive means creating the next great olfactory pleasure with people I love. Oh, and of course, throw in rescue pups and it's olfactory nirvana!" said Voth.
