ARLINGTON, Va., Mar. 12, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Hobsons, the education technology leader and company behind Starfish, announced today that Starfish has reached an agreement with the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office to offer Starfish solutions to all CCC institutions. Currently, 43 institutions within the CCC system utilize Starfish solutions.
The California Community College system consists of 114 colleges, spread out across the state. Each college offers a diverse array of education programs, with specializations that reflect the unique character of the local region. In November 2017, the Academic Senate for The California Community Colleges officially endorsed Starfish by Hobsons as part of their Guided Pathways proposals. "Guided Pathways" refers to a student-centered system for colleges to help increase credential completion and graduation rates for all students.

The Chancellor's Office support of Hobsons' Starfish solution, following a competitive award process, ensures the delivery of enhancements necessary to support the Vision for Success goals under the Guided Pathways Framework."
Starfish has also been accepted outside of the Chancellor's Office, at the individual school level, where over 40 schools have already engaged the platform.
