Canela Media, a leading digital media technology company, today announced that it has been certified as a Women/Minority Business Enterprise (WMBE) by the Supplier Clearinghouse for the Utility Supplier Diversity Program of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).

The CPUC's Utility Supplier Diversity Program helps manage California utility costs through increased competition and inclusion in the utility supply chains. The CPUC’s Utility Supplier Diversity Program encourages utilities to spend 15 percent of their procurement dollars with businesses that are minority-owned (MBE); 5 percent with women-owned (WBE); 1.5 percent with disabled veteran-owned (DVBE); and also with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT)-owned (LGBTBE) businesses.
