WASHINGTON, March 1, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- From March 19 through May 21, Capital Hilton will celebrate spring and the famous cherry blossom blooms around the city with special offers and activities, featured food and beverage menu items, and a partnership with a local plant and flower studio in the city.

Cherry Blossom Package
For this year's festival, Capital Hilton is offering a special Cherry Blossom Package which features a homemade bento box and a Japanese paper kite. The bento box contains an assortment of snacks and candy and includes an educational guide outlining details on the Japanese items and the traditions behind them. Rates for the Cherry Blossom Package start at $273 + tax.
Food and Beverage Programming
To commemorate the festivities, The Statler Lounge will be transformed into the Pink Petal Pub, featuring festive cherry blossom decorations on display all season long. Here, guests can enjoy a cherry blossom-inspired cocktail, the Sakura Blossom. The Sakura Blossom features nigori sake, with Luxardo maraschino liqueur, grapefruit juice, and sparkling pink grapefruit soda. The cocktail's delicately pale pink color is an ode to the Akebono cherry blossoms (which begin pink and fade to white) and the cocktail is garnished with a single white flower as a nod to the Yoshino, the most common cherry blossom varietal planted around the Tidal Basin. The Yoshino also has a slight almond scent when in full bloom, which is echoed by the almond undertones in the Luxardo. Japanese Whisky tastings and a special cherry blossom food menu will also be available throughout the duration of the season.
