NORTH BETHESDA, Md., June 7, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- CAPREIT, a fully integrated real estate operating company responsible for the ownership and management of more than $5 billion of multifamily assets, today announced it has been recognized by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) as a finalist for best design of a corporate office space as part of the 2023 Premiere Design Awards.
CAPREIT was recognized in the 20,000 square feet or under category and will receive a trophy for its runner-up finish. IIDA noted that the CAPREIT office, designed by FORM Architects, "merges urban style and sustainability while providing employees the comforts of home. This WELL certified space features carbon negative flooring; the first of its kind in the DC Metro area."
"We're extremely honored to receive this esteemed recognition from the International Interior Design Association, which is always regarded as the preeminent measuring stick for the industry," said Andrew Kadish, president and CEO of CAPREIT. "This recognition is emblematic of our dedicated focus to providing a comfortable working environment for associates, which we believe is particularly paramount in an era when employee wellness is so crucial and so valued."
CAPREIT's office space ranked No. 2 of the 21 submissions for the 20,000 SF and under category in IIDA's 28th annual award presentation. The office features a sleek, modern design and offers private workspaces, collaboration spaces, private meeting room, wellness room, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, comfort-driven couches and oversized windows for ample natural light.
"Investing in our team spaces has been a primary focus, particularly as our organization continues to grow and pursue new developments," Kadish said. "It is also part of the overarching notion that if you provide an enjoyable experience for your associates, they in turn will provide one for your residents. Essentially, providing an amazing space for our employees aligns with our mission to connect and give back to the communities we serve."
