The Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) announces its 22nd Annual Scientific Sessions, themed “Global CMR: Innovation and Clinical Outcomes,” emphasizing the goal of expanding outreach to the broader and more global CMR community. The four-day event taking place February 6-9, 2019, is being held at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue in Bellevue, Washington, located on Seattle’s Eastside.
“Attendees will see new program offerings, including special early career sessions, a Vanguard Session of global CMR and joint sessions with the top cardiovascular societies from around the world,” said Program Committee Chair Dr. Allison G. Hays. “We will also feature an enhanced program with new offerings, career networking opportunities and more state-of-the-art imaging science that our members have come to expect from SCMR.”
Highlighted sessions and features of the 22nd Annual Scientific Sessions include:
- National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) sponsored inaugural joint session highlighting ground breaking cardiac magnetic resonance research
- Vanguard Session focusing on international cardiac magnetic resonance experience at high volume centers
- SCMR/International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) Co-Provided Workshop on the Emerging Role of Machine Learning in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- CMR Certification Examination Preparatory Course, new to the Scientific Sessions program this year
The Scientific Sessions are attended by over 1,300 physicians, scientists, technologists and others who work in the fields of cardiology and radiology. The full program is available on the SCMR Scientific Sessions site.
