CareOne and InnovaCare to Host Fundraiser For Puerto Rico
Fort Lee, NJ (PRWEB) October 07, 2017 -- CareOne and Innovacare have organized a “Starry Night Masquerade Ball” benefit for Puerto Rico, which has recently faced mass destruction after hurricane Maria hit the island. The benefit fundraiser, to be held on Thursday, Oct. 17 from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. at Skylight Clarkson North, 570 Washington Street in New York City, features appearances by New York Giants players, defensive end “JPP” Jason Pierre-Paul and wide receiver Odell Beckham.
“We are challenging ourselves to raise money to rebuild the island as soon as possible,” says Daniel E. Straus, CEO of CareOne. “This event will fast-track disaster relief funds to Puerto Rico, where the residents are in crisis and millions still remain without power.”
Ticket prices start at $1,000, and organizers hope the event will raise millions toward rebuilding the island and providing much-needed aid for its residents.
According to FEMA Administrator Brock Long, “We have a long way to go in recovery,” and rebuilding Puerto Rico is “going to be a Herculean effort.” The island’s recovery is expected to cost more than $30 billion.
