Caring Matters Home Care Pittsburgh will be collecting funds from now until November 11 for Operation Warm as part of the NALA’s collective cause marketing program, which encourages businesses across the country to collect at the same time to make a bigger impact. The mission of Operation Warm is to provide brand new winter coats to children in need.
To donate to Operation Warm through Caring Matters Home Care Pittsburgh, visit their donation page. In addition to specific personal care, Caring Matters offers a range of services for seniors who need companionship and social interaction to help them stay active and ensure their well-being.
“Help us give a child in need a new winter coat and you will be helping boost their self-confidence, peer acceptance, school attendance and overall wellness,” said Justin Holiday, of Caring Matters Home Care Pittsburgh.
Operation Warm works year-round to create colorful winter coats made just for kids. Every $20 provides a high-quality, brand new winter coat to a child who needs it most. Since 1998, Operation Warm has provided warmth, confidence and hope by manufacturing and distributing winter coats to over 3 million children in need throughout the U.S. By actually manufacturing the coats it distributes, Operation Warm is able to efficiently control logistics, costs and inventory.
Caring Matters Home Care Pittsburgh will also be hosting one of many senior bingo activities on Thursday, September 26, at 1:30 p.m. The event takes place at Munhall Retirement Residence, 1000 Andrews Street in Munhall. There will be a 30-minute presentation about Caring Matters Home Care and the services it offers followed by refreshments and bingo. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. Caring Matters Home Care Pittsburgh is also having a bingo night the following day at Brinton Towers in Braddock Hills.
