Carlsbad Web Design Agency Donates Computers to San Diego Kids and Their Families
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) December 17, 2014 -- Today, Carlsbad web design and web development agency RemedyOne announced their partnership with Computers 2 SD Kids, the organization dedicated to providing low-income families and their children with modern and functional computers.
"We believe in the importance of science and technology to our San Diego kids and their families, and want to give the chance of entrepreneurship to local kids who wouldn't normally get that chance," said RemedyOne CEO, Simon Hunter from his Carlsbad office.
RemedyOne was founded in 2000, and provides web design, web development and associated services to the San Diego business community.
Often, low-income families aren't able to afford a computer, and their children are sometimes unable to complete basic homework or research tasks. RemedyOne’s donation will help Computers 2 SD Kids provide more than 500 low-income families and their children with the tools necessary to improve their lives in time for the holidays.
Each computer includes Microsoft Software, more than 1,000 educational programs through PowerMyLearning, and valuable Internet Safety training in partnership with the San Diego Police Department. Each family receives training, technical support, and life-time replacement should their computer fail. And their partnership with Cox provides affordable internet, ensuring the entire family has the tools to access life’s opportunities for at least the next 10 years.
“Thanks to RemedyOne’s generosity, we will directly enhance the future education of children throughout San Diego School Districts” states Computers 2 SD Kids Executive Director, Cheri Pierre.
