VENICE, Italy, May 11, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In conjunction with the 58th Venice Art Biennale, BEL AIR FINE ART Venice is glad to present the new exhibition Personal Structures – Identities organized with the collaboration of GAA Foundation, which will take place in the Giardini della Marinaressa (Riva dei Sette Martiri, 30122 Venice, Italy), from the 9th of May until the 24th of November 2019.
This monumental exhibition is dedicated to three international artists, Carole A. Feuerman, guest of honor, Laurence Jenkell and Idan Zareski.
New York based, celebrated artist Carole A. Feuerman is one of the three major pioneers, along with Duane Hanson and John De Andrea, that started the hyperrealism movement in the 1970's. Dubbed 'the reigning doyenne of super-realism' by art historian John T. Spike, Feuerman has solidified her place in art history.
Feuerman's prolific career spans fifty years. She has produced a rich body of work in the studio and the public realm. By combining conventional sculptural material of steel, bronze and resin with more unconventional media like light, sound & video, creating hybrid works of intricate energy and psychology. Through her sculptures, she creates visual manifestations of the stories she decides to tell: of strength, survival, and balance.
This year, Bel Air Fine Art is presenting Carole A. Feuerman's newest public works. They are made of bronze with a rich black patina, and 24 carat gold leaf, made expressly for the show. The meticulous details, such as drops of water and hair, give the artwork a strong human connotation. There is therefore a reference to classical Greek and Hellenistic art, where the human body transmitted the essence of beauty, the glorification of divine powers and aesthetic ideals that they embodied in human form.
She has taught, lectured, and given workshops at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon Guggenheim Museum, Columbia University, and Grounds for Sculpture. In 2011, she founded the Carole A. Feuerman Sculpture Foundation.
Her art is included in the collections of the President and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Frederic R. Weisman Art Foundation, Dr. Henry Kissinger, the Michael Gorbachov Art Foundation, the Malcom Forbes Magazine Collection, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the State Hermitage in Russia.
