Case Western Reserve University Tests "Smart" Campus Parking System
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 30, 2013 -- Motorists looking to park at Case Western Reserve University’s visitor information center can check whether there are spaces available before they arrive with a new "smart" parking system.
The university is testing Streetline’s automated parking system in the visitor information lot to see whether on-campus parking can be better managed. This technology will be examined during the first three months of the fall semester.
Streetline’s technology allows the university to monitor the use of parking spaces, as well as convey to visitors and other motorists when spaces are available with the company’s smartphone app, called Parker™, and its web-based resource, ParkerMap™.
Motorists interested in viewing real-time availability of the visitor information lot can download Parker to their iOS or Android devices by searching for "Parker by Streetline" in Apple’s App Store or the Google Play marketplace.
The visitor information lot is on the south side of campus, off Euclid Avenue.

In addition to real-time availability in the visitor information lot, Parker also displays parking locations and policy throughout Case Western Reserve’s campus. The system could be expanded based on the results of the pilot project.
