Cassena Care at Norwalk Holds a Grand Re-opening
Norwalk, CT (PRWEB) March 26, 2014 -- Cassena Care provides Norwalk Facility renaissance with overhauled image, new standards and services on par with the industry’s elite. The Grand Re-Opening happened on Thursday November 8th, 2013 and marked the first step in the facility revamping. Mayor Harry Rilling (at the time Mayor elect) came to cut the ribbon at the grand re-opening ceremony. The Grand re-opening was to showcase the name change, change of ownership and full updated facility.
Before the facility was taken over, it had a terrible reputation, it had many changes in ownership, been through two state receiverships and as a result, the reputation in the community was very poor. Cassena Care prides themselves on the ability to provide quality care, improving a relationship with the community and being able to provide the best services at the highest level.
Updates have been made to the appearance of the facility, enabling the outward appearance to align with the quality of care provided inside. A new wing was added to the facility for administrative offices, a brand new state of the art rehabilitation gym, an updated sub acute wing with new flooring, furniture, appliances and wall furnishings were also added to create a more aesthetically cohesive appearance for clients, staff, and family alike.
With the newly added space, and state of the art equipment Cassena Care was able to add additional services to patients. The relationship with Soundview Medical staff, which has been integrated with the Cassena Care staff, allows the facility to now offer Respiratory Therapy, along with a host of new services that will be provided to the facility. The most important new service that was added is the top-notch rehabilitation services that are now being offered. With Cassena Care at Norwalk’s new partnership with Dementia Connections, a program with United Hebrew of New Rochelle, the facility is now able to provide secured units for dementia and behavioral residents.
Due to the facility’s proximity to Norwalk Hospital and Cassena Care at Norwalk's Open Door Policy, physicians from the hospital can now easily and more accessibly come visit their patients. Cassena Care at Norwalk is also part of the Connecticut Association of Healthcare Facilities and Norwalk Chamber of Commerce.
Doctors from Norwalk Hospital are not the only ones able to more easily access the facility though, due to an increase of community awareness, and Cassena Care’s efforts toward reaching out to local assisted livings, a great bond has been forged with them. Plans are currently being made to set up brunches and activities, such as educational seminars for the local community and neighboring centers.
Cassena Care has reported an increased consistency within the center. Multiple family members have come to the facility such as a husbands and wives for rehabilitation services. People are enthusiastic with the results, and it shows within family members seeing their loved one progress in rehab. The good reputation is being passed on from family members being extremely pleased with how loved ones are cared for, and more referrals are a direct result of this.
