Both examinations were performed by service auditor Schellman & Company, LLC, an independent CPA firm and a full year was covered as a part of these procedures.
This marks the first year that Catalytic has completed the SOC 2 Type 2 attestation examination; in the previous year, Catalytic's SOC 2 examination comprised of a Type 1. The SOC 2 Type 2 examination evaluates the description of Catalytic's system, the design's suitability, and its operating effectiveness. This examination gives Catalytic's customers peace of mind that their sensitive information is stored securely in the cloud solution. SOC 2 reports are attestation reports that opine on controls at a service organization, and Catalytic was evaluated against the Security and Availability Trust Services Categories.
Catalytic's HIPAA attestation examination assures customers in the medical space that protected health information is secure. Schellman & Company, LLC reviewed Catalytic's HIPAA policies, procedures, and controls, and evaluated them for compliance against the HIPAA Security and Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Breach Notification Rule requirements.
