SWANSEA, Ill., Nov. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The legal team at Cates Mahoney, LLC is honored to announce their partnership with the Clyde C. Jordan Food Bank, Inc. in hosting the organization's annual City Wide Thanksgiving Celebration Dinner event. The event, which takes place on Thursday, November 15, will welcome families and individuals of any age for a full-course Thanksgiving meal in a family-friendly setting of hospitality and camaraderie.
In years past, the event catered only to senior citizens. This year, due to dwindling funds and decreased government assistance, the situation is especially desperate for citizens in and around the East St. Louis, Illinois area, and so the event will open its doors to anyone in need of sustenance.
The City Wide Thanksgiving Celebration Dinner will provide a joyful occasion where residents in need can experience the fellowship and welcome embrace of the community, but the need goes beyond just one day. That is why Cates Mahoney, LLC partner, Ryan Mahoney, a Clyde C. Jordan Food Bank, Inc. board member, is encouraging members of the community to donate whatever they can to the organization, which provides year-round assistance to those in need in this extremely impoverished community. Cates Mahoney, LLC will be donating food and supplies for the event, and members of the legal team will also be volunteering.
Anyone wishing to help can donate any amount. Checks should be made out to the Clyde C. Jordan Food Bank, Inc., and sent to Ryan Mahoney at 216 W. Pointe Drive, Suite A, Swansea, Illinois, 62226. Since the Clyde C. Jordan Food Bank is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization, donations are tax-deductible. All donations go toward feeding the poor and hungry in the Greater East St. Louis community. To learn more, please call Ryan Mahoney at 618-277-3644, or contact the Food Bank directly at 618-293-6700.
