Cedars brings pickleball options to their various tennis club offerings on the island of Longboat Key, Florida.
LONGBOAT KEY, Fla., Dec. 2, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cedars Tennis Resort & Club announces the opening of pickleball courts in addition to their various tennis offerings to both full-time and temporary members. Pickleball is an indoor or outdoor paddle sport where players hit a ball over a 36-inch high net using solid-faced paddles. Opponents on either side of the net hit the ball back and forth until one side commits a rule infraction. Similar to tennis, pickleball can be played as both a singles or doubles sport and has rules that allow teams with standing players along with wheelchaired players to participate. The main difference between the two is the court size; pickleball is played on a small court allowing for less of a need for running.
