Cedars Tennis Resort, an RVA Property, Welcomes Tennis Professionals Jeffrey Aarts and Craig McSmythe
Longboat Key, Florida (PRWEB) February 21, 2014 -- Cedars Tennis Resort is pleased to welcome tennis pros Jeffrey Aarts and Craig McSmythe. With over 50 years experience between the two, Jeff and Craig bring knowledge in directing programs, teaching and coaching.
A former professional tennis player with more than 30 years experience, Jeffrey Aarts is currently the Director of Tennis at the Wee Burn Country Club in Darien, Connecticut in the summer months. Early in Jeff’s career, he played the European and United States satellite circuits, ranking in doubles on the ATP World Doubles circuit. Other credentials include being a finalist in the USTA Men’s 35 Grass Court Doubles Championship, ranking 7th in the National USTA Men’s 35 Singles and being a semi-finalist in the Men’s 45 Eastern Grass Court Championship. Jeff comes to Cedars Tennis Resort with a USPTA certification with a P1 rating.
At the young age of 16, Craig McSmythe became one of South Africa’s top juniors and had the opportunity to represent the South African team at the Orange Bowl in Miami. After leaving South Africa, Craig moved to California, where he achieved a ranking of 11 in South California in the under 18’s. His accomplishments include playing at Baylor University in Texas, continuing onto the professional circuit in North America and Canada and #1 ranking in the State of Florida for doubles in the 35’s. Craig comes to Cedars Tennis Resort from Serendipity Racquet Club.
