To keep the flame burning at home, Mellow Mushroom is celebrating date night every Wednesday with two 10-inch stone baked pies and pretzel bites for only $25.
Couples are encouraged to share a photo of their pizza date on Instagram and/or Facebook with #MellowLove for a chance to win a date night package sponsored by Mellow Mushroom. Every order of pretzel bites is hand formed from signature Mellow pizza dough, cut into bite-size pieces, finished with garlic butter and parmesan, and served with a side of Pabst Blue Ribbon™ beer cheese sauce. Couples can select two of their favorite 10-inch pies from the stone-baked pie section on the Mellow menu.
Traditionally, date night implies a night out. But research company Datassential reported in the 2020 Sheltered report that many Americans view quarantine eating as a necessary function rather than a happy occasion to connect with loved ones. Restaurants have the opportunity to change the narrative. Forty-two percent of those surveyed said they are willing to try a date night in with their partner during quarantine, and 41 percent are willing to order a restaurant meal as a special treat. Additionally, 40 percent are open to trying a virtual dinner with family or friends over the phone or video chat.
