‘The Chi’ Birgundi Baker and Tyla Abercrumbie, Washington Mystics Aliana Coates, Influencer Kimberly Jones, and Celebrity Hairstylist Dior Sovoa are joining NWR Communications Group to bring awareness to nonprofits leading the way in education, healthcare, human rights, prison reform, and the like.

On November 18, in commemoration of “National NonProfit Awareness Month,” celebrities, athletes and influencers will use their Instagram accounts to amplify the visibility of nonprofits making an impact in their communities. They are united under the “#ShareTheMicNow-Non-Profit Edition” social media campaign, the first in a series of campaigns planned by organizers.

“#ShareTheMicNow-NonProfit Edition” organizers, Natalie Wilson, co-founder of the Black and Missing Foundation, and founder of NWR Communications Group, Sydney Anderson, CEO of Anderson Sports and Brand Management and Ni’cola Mitchell, writer and publishing expert and founder of Girls Who Brunch said the campaign was created to:

  • Enhance visibility of nonprofits on the frontlines
  • Bring about societal change
  • Connect nonprofits with those who need their support, volunteers and donors

There are 10 nonprofits and 10 celebrities in total.
