Celebrity Chefs Fighting Hunger - Downtown Luxury Hotel Gives Back to Community with Celebrity Chef Dinner
TORONTO (PRWEB) October 17, 2019 -- "Giving back to the community is a critical part of our Ritz-Carlton community footprint culture,” states General Manager, Franck Arnold. “Our CSR program, Community Footprints, allows us our Ladies and Gentlemen to be involved with the community we live and work in and give back to those less fortunate than us.”
On September 4th, 2019, the hotel hosted a celebrity chef dinner, ‘A Culinary Journey Across Canada,’ at TOCA restaurant inside The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto to kick off the 44th Toronto International Film Festival. Chef Alex Chen from Vancouver’s Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar, Chef Antonio Park from Montreal’s Park Restaurant, collaborated with The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto Executive Chef Paul Shewchuk and Executive Pastry Chef Gael Moutet for an exclusive dinner where all proceeds are being donated to the Fort York Food Bank (FYFB). The FYFB provides hot meals and groceries to families in the downtown Toronto area.
Co-Chair of the Board of Directors at FYFB, Julie LeJeune, says, “As a small but mighty food bank in downtown Toronto we were thrilled to partner with The Ritz-Carlton as their charity of choice for the Culinary Journey Across Canada dinner in September. We serve 1,000 clients a month with hot meals and grocery hampers. We look forward to a continued partnership and tackling food security in Toronto together with some of the best chefs in the city."
The hotel is working with FYFB to expand its support of the organization and to reduce hunger in the city of Toronto.
