Where Real Estate Is Never Boring!

“Ronald Reagan & Jane Wyman's L.A. Home”

Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman were married in 1940 and soon moved into a Los Angeles home that was the epitome of Old Hollywood glamour. When they divorced in 1949, the home was deeded to Wyman, who lived there until 1954. Designed by architect Paul Williams, the home is now for sale, priced at $6.75 million.

At 6,153 square feet, the classic, five-bedroom, seven-bath house retains its original architectural layout with large rooms, high ceilings, hardwood floors and hand-crafted millwork. The impressive foyer with its grand chandelier, staircase curves and stunning in-laid wood floor is in Williams’ signature oval design with sweeping staircase and wrought-iron banister that continues through the second-floor overlook. The vast public interior spaces, private yard and brick-paved courtyard, swimming pool, cabana with fireplace, firepit and terraces make entertaining comfortable and enjoyable. The reception hall includes a sunroom and the spacious family room has both a fireplace and a bar. Priced at $6.75 million, the listing agents are Brent Watson and Marco Salari of Coldwell Banker, Los Angeles.

“New York Country Estate Inspired James Bond Novels”

A New York country estate, Black Hole Hollow Farm, where former British intelligence-officer-turned-author, Ian Fleming, wrote parts of his James Bond thrillers, "Diamonds Are Forever" (1956) and "Goldfinger" (1959) is for sale. Fleming was a long-term house guest on numerous occasions at the estate.

Fleming spent much of his time in the property's spectacular greenhouse opening to a large, roofed garden room and taking long treks into the woods surrounding the estate. Nestled within 440 lush acres of trees, pasture and flower gardens, the 1770’s-era main house of 8,143 square feet includes eight bedrooms, seven baths, multiple fireplaces, formal and family rooms, an office, large kitchen and dining room for large dinner parties. In an old guest register, Fleming once wrote, “Lived here like a king — an uninvited one — in fragrant and luxurious solitude.”

Black Hole Hollow Farm is located near Saratoga, New York where several of the James Bond book-and-movie scenes are located. Priced at $2.95 million, the listing agent is Story Jenks of LandVest, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, Woodstock, Vermont.
