CELINA, Ohio, Sept. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Celina Tent, Inc. is growing its operations to St. Marys, Ohio. The new expansion of production space will create jobs as additional employees are required for assembling the product lines that will be moved into the space. The newly occupied space is located in the building that was previously Kmart along US-33 in St. Marys, Ohio. "We are very excited about this new expansion," said Celina Tent, Inc. Vice President Janice Grieshop. "Opening a work space in St. Marys will let us hire from a wider locality, spreading the availability of jobs further than we could before with just our main plant in Celina, Ohio."
Many of the shelters that will be assembled in the St. Marys Business Complex were engineered at the Celina Tent Campus in Celina, Ohio. These well-established product lines will be relocated to the St. Marys location for final assembly. Some employees who are already employed by Celina Tent will be transferred to the new facility to continue the day-to-day operations and quality standards are maintained.
The additional space in the St. Marys Business Complex will double the available assembly area needed to complete shelters. Efficiency will then be improved by dedicated workflow and work centers. Contracts and engineered projects from Celina Tent include kitchen shelters, clean room tarpaulin, decontamination shelters and agricultural curtains.
Hiring for the new facility will commence as machinery and logistics are finalized. Jeff Grieshop, President of Celina Tent, Inc., stated that "[w]e should have access to the space early in September 2018, and plan to begin assembly at the St. Marys location by the fourth quarter of 2018." This will be the largest expansion of production space since the company added the 100,000 square foot Distribution Center at their main assembly plant in 2017.
