CEO of McWhorter Capital Partners Named a "40 Under 40" Honoree by the Atlanta Business Chronicle
Josh McWhorter, CEO of McWhorter Capital Partners, is recognized as a "40 Under 40" leader and difference maker in the community by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
CARTERSVILLE, Ga., Sept. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Atlanta Business Chronicle has named Josh McWhorter, CEO of McWhorter Capital Partners, a "40 Under 40" honoree. The "40 Under 40" awards recognize rising Atlanta business leaders who have made significant career achievements during 2017-2018 and have had a substantial involvement in community service outside of day-to-day job performance. The winners of the award will be honored at a celebration ceremony at The Fox Theatre on Thursday, Nov. 8, from 6-9 p.m.
Founded in 2013 by Josh McWhorter, McWhorter Capital Partners is a private equity and real estate investment firm that helps investors grow their wealth so they can live more fully and give more generously. The company has also built a network of 100+ vendors in the past two years, contributing to the local Bartow County community.
Under Josh's leadership, McWhorter Capital Partners has also acquired or started multiple companies, including Horton Outdoor, LakePoint Realty Group, and the recently acquired McWhorter Goss General Contractors (formerly Pennant Construction Management, Inc.). Each company has grown exponentially in the past year. Horton Outdoor has grown from seven billboard structures to 116 with more than 489 faces/flips in less than three years. In the past 12 months specifically, the company added 41 structures/89 faces/155 ad spaces. Monthly revenue from Horton Outdoor has doubled in the past year. McWhorter Capital Partners recently launched the McWhorter Team at LakePoint Realty, a group of 11 real estate professionals who work together to "push the envelope of how real estate is done," which has resulted in an increase in listings from 36 to 53 properties while closing 21 in 7 weeks. Since acquiring Pennant Construction March 1, contracted jobs have increased by 450 percent.
