LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SWAGTRON, a brand once known for hoverboards, is showing off new electric bikes during CES 2019 in Las Vegas. With e-bike designs ranging from retro to radical, SWAGTRON is clearly a committed player in the light electric vehicle (LEV) space.
Once thought of as kids' toys, electric rideables (LEVs) are becoming an increasingly popular segment, especially among urban commuters and college students. And if CES is any indication, SWAGTRON will have something for everyone in 2019.

SWAGTRON SWAGCYCLE COMMANDER FOLDING ELECTRIC SUSPENSION TRIKE
The Commander is an evolution in the concept of folding electric bikes. This pedal-free (throttle only) electric tadpole trike features independently actuated coil-sprung front suspension that draws inspiration from the trailing arm designs of trophy trucks. While not intended for off-road use specifically, it merges enhanced mobility with uncompromised stability. Conquer rough roads, curbs, train tracks and anything else the concrete jungle throws your way with confidence. A 350-watt motor drives the rear of three 14.5-inch wheels. A compact, folding design means that the alloy frame can be easily stored or transported when space is at a premium.

SWAGTRON EB ELECTRIC BEACH CRUISERS
Retro meets modern with a lineup of full-size electric beach cruisers from SWAGTRON, a brand that made its name in e-bikes with compact folding designs. White-wall tires, fenders, luggage racks and swept back handlebars are paired with 250-watt hub motors and 7-speed Shimano gearing for miles of smiles. Men's and women's designs will be available ranging from 26-inch to 700c wheels.

SWAGTRON SWAGCYCLE 2.0
The original Swagcycle pedal-less design (arguably a scooter by some definitions) was SWAGTRON's first venture into e-bikes, and 2.0 sees an updated design with features like an adjustable seat, rear suspension and the addition of pedals in a familiar compact, folding design.

SWAGTRON KIDS' BALANCE BIKES
Just because the brand has made a commitment to alternative transportation options geared toward commuting and cruising for big kids doesn't mean it's forgotten younger riders. New kids' bikes and scooters will debut throughout 2019 including several balance bikes. A lightweight, alloy frame and 12-inch wheels aimed at helping young riders build confidence with style.
The brand has also hinted at a folding, electric cargo bike in 2019 as well as an updated version of its best-selling EB7 Elite folding electric bike that will include a larger capacity battery for better range and performance as well as a 7-speed rear cassette for less painful pedaling on hilly terrain.
