CES 2015: Silicon Valley – the Hollywood Boulevard of the Future

Hollywood celebrities are quickly taking a backseat in the media. Fewer and fewer people are concerned about Kim Kardashian breaking the internet, Justin Bieber’s Photoshop mishap, or Taylor Swift’s new best friend. Today’s celebrities are the Jony Ives, the Elon Musks, the Sergey Brins and Larry Pages. It is these tech innovators that are on the RSS Feeds of every twenty and thirty-something-year-olds’ – and with good reason, these are the people who change the world.
A lot of this had been made possible by Apple. Steve Jobs’ Macworld product launches were as captivating as they can come, successfully proving that tech and information can be made interesting enough to be consumed by the masses. For the first time, intelligent and innovative design mattered.
Today, people still cannot stop talking about inventor Elon Musk – touted as the new Steve Jobs – and the outstanding show put on for the release of the Tesla Model D from late last year. As Business Insider so eloquently put it, “In True ‘Iron Man’ Fashion”.
Whereas before, people obsessed over decorating their homes with celebrities’ guitars and other memorabilia, these instruments are quickly being replaced by things more suited to the entrepreneur lifestyle. With the latest tech gadgets being a great example, another is the obsession of maximizing the output of the brain, which has inherently increased the number of smart pills now available on the market.
