Chalk & Wire’s Flagship CWPro Solution Achieves IMS Global OneRoster® Standard Certification
RIDGEWAY, Ontario (PRWEB) March 29, 2018 -- Chalk & Wire, the most trusted higher education assessment technology provider, today announced that its flagship CWPro ePortfolio-enabled student assessment platform is now certified in the IMS Global Learning Consortium OneRoster® standard for data transfer processes. As OneRoster standardizes the secure exchange of roster information, course materials and grades between systems, Chalk & Wire's adoption of the standard adds even more power and flexibility to CWPro’s reporting capabilities.
“The addition of OneRoster gives our users a valuable, time-saving framework for exchanging data directly with other OneRoster-compatible systems through automation, which significantly reduces the chances of error and executes imports using a more universal format,” said Geoff Irvine, CEO of Chalk & Wire.
With OneRoster, data can be exported directly in a .csv formatted file that meets a rigorous information quality standard, which can then be used by the OneRoster server to automatically target updates in CWPro.
OneRoster often serves as the “translator” between multiple proprietary software solutions on higher education campuses. It also works with non-OneRoster certified systems, extending Chalk & Wire clients’ ability to leverage the data organized in other learning information systems (LMS/SIS) to populate and update related accounts and data in their CWPro system.
