Championship Productions Launches 'Netflix-Style' Coaching Subscription Service 'ChampCoach' - Includes Over 700 Full-Length Basketball Coaching Videos
Championship Productions, well-known in coaching communities as being the best source for instructional coaching videos, has embarked on its maiden voyage into the world of online video subscriptions. The company quietly began selling its "ChampCoach" subscription platform in late July, debuting with over 700 of its best full-length basketball coaching videos produced over the past few years.
AMES, Iowa, Aug. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Championship Productions, well-known in coaching communities as being the best source for instructional coaching videos, has embarked on its maiden voyage into the world of online video subscriptions. The company quietly began selling its "ChampCoach" subscription platform in late July, debuting with over 700 of its best full-length basketball coaching videos produced over the past few years.
Coaches and athletes who join ChampCoach will be pleased to see that its initial library includes videos authored by a wide variety of high-achieving coaches, including 2016 and 2018 NCAA Champion Jay Wright, 2017 NCAA Champion Roy Williams, 11-time NCAA Women's Champion Geno Auriemma, 5-time NCAA Champion Mike Krzyzewski, 5-time NBA Champion Gregg Popovich, 8-time NCAA Women's Champion Pat Summitt, 4-time High School National Champion Kevin Boyle, and many, many more.
"This is going to be a game-changer in the coaching industry," said Championship Productions' Basketball Director, Thom McDonald. "ChampCoach is going to allow coaches to deep-dive into different areas of their sport so they can make an immediate and profound impact with their team. Want to learn how to run Jim Boeheim's famous 2-3 zone? It's just a few clicks away. Need a few game-winning set plays to run with just a few seconds left on the clock? You'll get proven options used at the highest levels of the game. There are endless possibilities and we think that anyone who's serious about becoming a better coach will find that ChampCoach is a great value, especially considering that we'll be adding more videos to the subscription over time."
Early customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, including high praise from ESPN broadcaster and international basketball analyst, Fran Fraschilla.
"This is EXACTLY like a 'Netflix for Coaches' - every coach needs to get on ChampCoach TODAY!" said the former Division I basketball coach.
Currently, ChampCoach is being offered for an annual price of $480, which equates to $40 per month. While a monthly payment option is not currently offered, McDonald says the company may add other options as the subscription grows.
"Considering that the base price for most of our individual basketball videos is $39.99, this means that ChampCoach and its database of over 700 videos is the price equivalent to buying 12 individual videos in a year. It's a no-brainer, especially since you get unlimited access."
Coaches involved with sports other than basketball will have to wait for their own version of ChampCoach in the short term, but McDonald says that if coaches take well to the basketball subscription, then other sports will follow.
"Beginning with basketball makes the most sense because it's our most popular sport and there are plenty of different areas for coaches to study. We'll be monitoring how the platform is used and will take that data into account as we launch additional sports subscriptions in the near future. We are already getting requests from schools wanting to get a subscription from us in other sports."
