Charisse Curtis Named PRWEEK's 40 Under 40, An Elite Group of Influencers Forging A Bigger, More Strategic Role For The Entire Mass Comms Industry
Founder & President of Milano Consulting Joins Group of Unrivaled Public Relations Professionals Being Recognized for Standing Out in Their Industry
NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- PRWeek has announced its 2019 40 Under 40 honorees, the annual list of U.S. PR experts that represents the future leaders of communications and marketing.
These powerhouses are reinventing the execution of communications, PR and marketing. In such an aggravated political and social time, these officials demonstrate stability, awareness and finesse in overlooking corporate reputation and managing crisis situations. They are exhausted with more knowledge and agility than most in their field and have great flourishing careers ahead in the ever-changing world of PR.
Curtis founded Milano Consulting in 2018 after aggregating several years of experience at public relations firms around the country. She already has an array of clients, including professional athletes, businesses and restaurants from a variety of regions. She brings a unique balance of charisma and charm to the field and is focused on helping her clients develop their brands across a wide range of platforms.
"Owning my own company, I celebrate victories on behalf of my clients, for myself as the founder and also for the achievements of my employees," said the 31-year-old Curtis, a native of Washington D.C. "Most agencies I've worked at over the years, I felt like I was just an employee. In the past, my professional accolades always felt that that they belonged to those agencies…Taking the risk and walking away from a guaranteed salary was the hardest decision I've ever made. But hands down the best decision I've ever made."
"PRWeek's 40 Under 40 initiative is one of the most popular things we do as a brand and really captures the imagination of our readers," said Steve Barrett, editorial director of PRWeek. "The individuals who make the cut represent the next generation of PR leaders and are truly worth watching as they progress in the industry."
They exhibit how modernism; client focus and substantial correspondence can surpass years of experience. Their ability to constitute relationships, remain receptive and still home in on the rhythm of the generation is a vast victory at any age. Counteracting PR in the explosive and precarious worlds of politics and public affairs, healthcare and digital communications, these pros use their communication techniques and capability to conceive organic messaging that assures, evolves and excites.
This year's honorees embody the ambitious and rapidly evolving world of the PR industry:
Curtis first worked at Tara Ink in Miami after graduating Cum Laude from St. John's University in 2010. She moved to Los Angeles and worked in the Hospitality and Events Division at Entertainment Fusion Group, serving some of the city's most vibrant night clubs and restaurants – along with executing events for popular brands like Playboy and Nylon.
Curtis in her spare time enjoys traveling, friendly competition, sports and fine dining.
PRWeek's 40 Under 40 elite for 2019 will be recognized at a jubilant dinner at The Edison Ballroom in New York City on the evening of October 24. These 40 future dignitaries exhibit the adaptability and agility needed in today's world and they are unequivocally ones to watch.
