Charter Oak State College Enrollments Increase by Over 38%
NEW BRITAIN, CT (PRWEB) March 20, 2015 -- At the close of its 2015 Spring semester enrollments, Charter Oak State College (http://www.CharterOak.edu) is reporting an increase of its academic year student enrollments of 38.5%. The College’s current enrollment is now at 2,836 students with over 2,000 of those students registered for online courses. The College’s end of Summer 2014 student enrollment totaled 2047. Over 400 of the 789 new students enrolled via Governor Malloy’s Go Back to Get Ahead program.
Ed Klonoski, President of Charter Oak State College said, “Governor Malloy’s Go Back to Get Ahead program helped to incentivize a total of over 1,400 adult students to re-enroll in a Connecticut public college or university. Hundreds of those prospective students chose to complete their college degrees online. The Go Back to Get Ahead effort resulted in a significant boost to our total enrollment.” Klonoski added, “In addition, we have been diligently and thoughtfully working to increase our enrollments by providing students with valuable online workforce relevant programs that will assist them in their careers.”
