Cheap.co.uk Advises Travellers to Consider Parking Choices More Carefully
(PRWEB UK) 7 November 2013 -- Travel extras website Cheap.co.uk has advised those travelling over the coming months to check through all the details on the car park they are using and not take the price as the deciding factor in using a service.
A spokesmen for the company commented “of course everyone wants the very best possible price and whilst finding cheap airport parking is important its worth considering that the cheapest choice is not always the best to suit a specific travellers needs. There should be other factors included in the decision such as where the car park is located, how transfers operate, how long they take, the security on offer and whether the car park has a Park Mark award. Many travellers neglect to check these just choosing the cheapest parking they can find.”
An incident at Prestwick airport with an off airport car park having damaged a travellers car (as detailed on in the Daily Record) prompted the company to advise that travellers should be looking at more then just price alone. The incident in question caused several hundreds pounds worth of damage to a vehicle left in a car park without planning permission for airport car parking and the owner of the car park has refused to accept responsibility.
“There are not a lot of choices for parking at Prestwick airport, here at Cheap we only offer the three official airport car parks and we really advise those looking for parking at Prestwick airport to use one of the airports affiliated car parks. By using an off site car park the traveller saved themselves around thirteen pounds on parking fees, unfortunately they have experienced problems and the damage to their vehicle will cost hundreds of pounds fix.”
