CINCINNATI, Nov. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On October 13, Check `n Go of Tulsa, Oklahoma participated in and donated to the Little Light House Mini-Laps event. The Little Light House is a nationally recognized developmental center for children with special needs with more than 40 staff members serving 94 students alongside many volunteers. The LLH does not charge tuition and receives money only from private sources, such as foundations and grants. The LLH does not receive funding from government sources or United Way.
Every year at Mini-Laps, the families raise much needed funds to keep the doors of the Little Light House open and the program tuition free. The students work hard to take a lap around a track to show off their accomplishments. Check `n Go was proud to support this event and present The Little Light House with a $1,000 check donation.
Check `n Go associate Aimee Gentry said, "The experience today was incredible. We helped direct traffic for the event—and best of all, helped cheer the kids! This school is near and dear to my heart, because my friend's 4-year old son William has Spina Bifida. When he first started going to The Little Light House, he had no mobility in his legs and barely spoke. This is his second year at the school, and he is still wheel chair bound, but is getting some movement in his legs. Plus, he's learned some awesome knock-knock jokes."
Check `n Go is committed to bettering the communities it serves through donations such as this as part of their EPIC Outreach program.
