Checkers Opens First Corona, New York Location to Meet Growing Demand for Brand

To help meet the growing demand for Checkers products in the New York community, Rod Valencia recently opened Corona’s first Checkers restaurant at 38-06 Junction Blvd, Corona, NY on March 23.
Valencia is no stranger to the QSR industry; he opened his first Dunkin Donuts in 1984 and has since grown his portfolio to over 20 restaurants with brands including Checkers, Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robins.

“I first joined the Checkers team in 2009 because I wanted to open something in the burger segment, and I knew that Checkers had very good food,” Valencia said. “I have enjoyed growing with the brand, and hope to open my fifth location this year.”
