Kight's notoriety comes from founding CheckFree in 1981, which revolutionized the payments industry. After many years of success and going public in 1986, CheckFree was sold to Fiserv for $4.4 billion. Kight's experience in the FinTech space is far reaching. He currently serves on the boards of Huntington Bancshares Incorporated, Blackbaud, Inc., and has previously served on many other public boards.
